Exhibitions

I have achieved extensive curatorial and exhibition organising experience. Experience of curating  group and solo shows and managing  galleries in the public sector. She curated international and national shows for seven years at  South London Gallery  and  ten years at Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery including collaborations with artists such as Zarina Bimji, Mona Hatoum, Peter Kennyard, Erika Tan and Shanti Panchal and other independent curators.

Her ambition is to break new boundaries, by optimising and achieving the full potential of an artist’s work. Entrepreneurial and Inspirational in her approach she has created exciting exhibitions in partnership with artist's and galleries.   She is committed to present art work from lesser known, emerging and newly established artists. 

Exhibitions Curated (2005-2006)

Three Contemporary shows by British Chinese artists-:

  • At Campbell's Art Gallery, A Moment in Time, by Qu Lei Lei
  • At The Clarion Gallery, Transition , featuring seven artists.

A joint colour Trail leaflet, I produced covers these two exhibitions plus an additional show at Chinese Contemporary Gallery.

Campbell's Art Gallery, London SW7: A Moment in Time, 18 Feb to 18 March 2006

Three large projects by artist Qu Lei Lei, combining paintings and installations.The works were a blend of classical and modern Western art techniques and reflected the artist's concern about the conditions in which people live in and around the world.

Clarion Contemporary Art : Transition - 31 Jan to 25 Feb 2006

Transition features a selection of innovative work reflecting the diversity of artists coming out of China and its scattered Diaspora living in London. This mixed media exhibitions examined the shifting perspectives of the current trends and development in the artists practice.

The exhibitions were successful and attracted several hundreds of visitor’s  London Wide. This presented new and challenging work to both Chinese and Western audiences. Artists talks were also organized to coincide with the show. View full Press Release here
